Introduction To Readers Choice
For my final addition I have selected the first writing assignment in the English 98 class. It is called “An Inventory of Being”. This is a short bit all about me. It includes some of my likes, dislikes, hopes, beliefs and even some quirks and odd facts, Example....

My given name is Jennifer. I am usually called Jena, though my parents still call me Jeni and my close friends call me JJ or Jen. I answer to all of them.
I like being tall, at work they used to call me ” 6 ft of blonde ambition”
I was adopted at birth; my biological history is a mystery.
I love dogs! Mine is a 14y/o Am staff, whom I adore and lavishly spoil rotten.
I think all animals should be spoiled. It bothers me that some people don’t respect animals. Not that everyone should be a vegetarian, it’s your choice, but cant we ad least choose compassion and respect.

I have insatiable wanderlust; I have driven across the country 4 times in the last 5 years.
My path is, has been and will always be... long and windy with a few u-turns, speed bumps, pit stops and abrupt lane changes. It will also always be a road full of great adventure, amazing scenery, interesting “stuff”, and beautiful people. Laughter is as important as fuel.
Traffic...any idea why traffic just seems to develop for no apparent reason? No accident, no sun glare, nothing! And then, just as magically as it began, it's gone!
I am learning to appreciate a good, cold beer…especially if I have to ride my bike 20 miles on the river trail to get it.
I talk to my dog. Ok , really, I hold conversations with my dog, to which I am certain he understands and somehow answers me. Apparently this is quite common....no?
I am very proud of all of my accomplishments however unconventional some of them may have been.
I miss my former career in Emergency Medical Services and the amazing teams of people I worked with.
I have a group of the most amazing,real, honest, beautiful girlfriends in the world, unfortunately we all live in different states now.
I am proud to say that following 8 years together with my ex. He and I have remained the very best of friends.
My little brother is my hero.
I love people, there is something interesting and endearing about everyone, if you take a little more time to listen and look.
I still struggle with ADD as an adult .It sucks and is really great at the same time…
I cook with reckless abandon ...always turns out amazing just never exactly the same (note ADD)
I know when someone is lying and it makes me far angrier than whatever they may be lying about.
I like things that are real and natural. That goes for people, food and places.
I really want to learn French and Sign and Italian. I want to speak multiple languages but, I will try to learn to write this one first

LOVE...Absolutely! No regrets.
Fear...always there somewhere but,I can handle it

To my “Darjeeling” seminar group. It was a wonderful experience reading "Three Cups of Tea" with all of you. Your compassion and insight were evident at our meetings and it made a comfortable setting for wonderful and open discussion.
